Psalm 23 for a Hurting Flock

The church leader praying in the picture above is quoting from Psalm 23 to comfort those whose lives were turned upside down just two weeks ago on Christmas Eve.

On what should have been a silent, holy night of reflection about the birth of Jesus, marauders ripped through over a dozen villages, targeting and killing Christian believers. The damage has been catastrophic.

Please pray for the believers who have lost everything: fathers, mothers, children, livelihoods, homes, businesses, a sense of safety. Pray that Jesus would comfort them as they face the inexplicable. Pray that the local church and global church would come together to support them.

This was the second major attack like this in the area this year. We’re getting set to do a medical and trauma healing outreach this month for victims of the previous attack, and we’re dialoguing with the local church about plans to support victims of this latest attack also.

Please learn more about our Christ-centered approach to these tragedies here. And consider giving through the link below.
