Praying for the City Gates

One Saturday per month, believers in an overwhelmingly non-Christian city gather. These believers are a small minority. They come from all different churches and denominations. They have one purpose: to pray for their city.

The city is an ancient walled stronghold meant to keep foreigners out. So, the believers pray for the wall’s many gates to serve as entrances. They pray for the neighborhoods. They pray for opportunities to kindly share the love of Jesus.

The number of these believers who gather has been steadily growing. This past weekend, over 35 people came. Loving their neighbors starts with gathering to pray.

Would you say a quick prayer right now, joining these brave believers in seeking the good of their city?

God bless you!
