Love Digs Deep

When is a hole in the ground an act of deep love? When a church digs a well for a Muslim village in need, in a region that has been decimated by inter-religious violence.

At the dedication ceremony for the well, pastors and Muslim leaders built friendships and spoke of peace. The Muslim district chief said that he had never in 32 years of leadership seen the church do something like this for his community.

The village children had been fearful of Christians. But as the well was being dug, they became curious and came to watch the church members at work.

As this was happening, Light Attracts also provided food for dozens of Christian families at three churches in this community. These families had their farms destroyed by their Muslim neighbors several months ago. Now they’re loving those neighbors in response, in a clear and tangible way.
